One of my favorite quotes comes from great Robert Frost, and although cliche’, the classic poem The Road Not Taken ends with these amazing words that have become a mantra for me:
But in real life, what happens when you feel like you can no longer travel the road? Where do you turn when the road gets too bumpy, when you’ve exhausted your grinding abilities and reach a mental plateau causing you to lose all inspiration? I decided to ask a few of my favorite millennials and fellow like-minded individuals what they like to do when UNinspiration hits. I wanted to know how they find a way to gather themselves back together after they feel like there is nothing left for them to give. Let’s learn some ways to mentally refuel, because there’s no right or wrong way to get back on track. Read a few of their testimonies, and I promise you won’t be disappointed. In fact, I hope they inspire you to keep traveling, because no one said the road would be easy.
“Inspiration is found in so many places but I must say that when I am at my lowest and need to find that ounce of inspiration to get through a creative project or obstacle I think about where I started and that is the fuel to my fire. All of the people that doubted me, all the mistakes and most importantly knowing what I have to accomplish. I find inspiration within myself, it’s something that we all have you just have to dig deep to find it.”
