Kerry Washington plays one of the most prominent power players in the country in her role as Olivia Pope on ABC’s Scandal. She has found a way to be more than just an actress but an activist and a motivational speaker in a way that is unmatched. Kerry has also made herself a monument of self care from what we can see, because she’s very guarded and private when it comes to her personal life, which is an accomplishment when it comes to being a person who is constantly in the public eye.

She has gained wide public recognition for starring in the ABC drama Scandal.

She’s also known for her roles in the films Ray, The Last King of Scotland, and in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.

In 2016, she portrayed Anita Hill in the HBO television film Confirmation.

10. Have fun
She has also starred in the independent films Our Song, The Dead Girl, Mother and Child, and Night Catches Us.
